Overview

Coaches love to coach. Coaches hate to build a practice. They often feel like a nerdy junior high kid trying to sit at the cool kids' table. They build a website, and instantly hate it. Discouragement comes in waves and makes the coach believe maybe they are not cut out for coaching.

Brian Miller, Executive Director of CAM and a founding partner of P3 Leaders, helps coaches cut through the pain and find easy and even joyful ways to expand their practice. Brian brings the real-world experience of growing his own practice and as a helpful coach, leads the group to their own individual application.

Monthly Gatherings

During this six-month commitment, the cohort meets monthly to work through lessons that have been key learnings for Brian and his practice. These lessons are designed to apply to whatever practice you are trying to build, whether your application is ministry, missional, personal, or business.

Each lesson takes about 20 minutes. The rest of the hour is devoted to helping coaches chew on the learning and then apply it to their own practice. Coaches leave encouraged by the teaching and by one another to keep up their effort to grow their individual practice.

The Hot Seat!

Another feature of the six-month commitment includes cohort members taking turns in the "hot seat". These coaches will share the foundations of their practice and the ways in which they reach out to potential clients.

Upon completion of the presentation, the rest of the cohort will ask clarifying questions and make helpful observations that will give the coach helpful feedback as they continue to reach out to potential clients and build their practice.

The Coaching Exchange

Next Cohort Starts July 1 - Deadline to Sign Up June 15

Overview

One of the biggest challenges facing new and developing coaches is how to gain real coaching experience. After you coach your spouse, your friends, and maybe a few coaching classmates, you start wondering if coaching your dog is a good idea. It’s not. This is where The Coaching Exchange (TCE) comes in.

TCE is a way for you to gain 10 hours of real coaching experience with real clients and count those hours of experience as paid coaching toward ICF credentialing.

Specifics

  • Each TCE cohort lasts 3 months.
  • Each participant agrees to coach 10 times/quarter and to be coached 10 times/quarter during the cohort.
  • Each participant is assigned a Client and is also assigned to be the Client with a different coach (your coach and client will be different people).
  • Assignments will be changed every quarter to give you a variety of experiences.
  • Every week, CAM offers a short lesson to improve your experience.

What Others Say about TCE

Today was my final coaching session for the TCE.  What a joy it has been!  This last round's pairings were my favorite.  I loved both my coach and client.  Thank you for all the work you do setting this up and pairing partners.  God bless! -- Aileen

TCE was a great way to build my confidence as a coach and gave me invaluable experience coaching a client over a longer period of time. In turn, the opportunity to be coached was a big plus. I would encourage any coach, especially one who is looking for coaching hours, to take advantage of this amazing experience. - Esther

I have enjoyed being coached by different people and found all the coaches that I had to all be good coaches. The experience I have gained from coaching others has also helped me to grow in my coaching skills and while I am not coaching clients I noticed that the coaching skills gained are helping me have better conversations at work. - Chris

Even More Great Reviews!

Last year, I had the best coaches. All were pastors and all really ministered to me with basically the same message-REST, RELAX, and ENJOY. I went in circles in the coaching sessions until God called me to a year in the desert to get my heart straightened out. -- Danielle

Once again, TCE has been well worth my time and effort. I tried to put as much in as I took out, which was a challenge in itself because I received so much! -- Kyle

Would highly recommend! Not only did I gain experience in coaching and being coached by different people, I gained new friends that I will continue meeting with regularly after I finish TCE. The more I get involved in the CAM coaching community, the more I realize what great people are a part of it! - Kim

Spiritual Intelligence

Next Cohort Starts April 4th

Soul-Metrics

How do you overcome an anxious spirit? Dr. Paul Burns, the author of Becoming Spiritually Intelligent, has discovered nine paths to becoming your most loving self. A coach himself, Paul has led many clients to a calmer state of being, to function apart from others' anxiety, and to fully empathize with others.

Paul is offering his coaching services to the Community and will lead a group for 10 weeks through his Spiritual Intelligence process. Participants should expect to feel more attached to God, a healthy level of self-differentiation, and an increased empathy towards those who surround them.

10-Week Group

Dr. Paul Burns, the creator of the GPS assessment, is hosting a 10-week group in the Community starting on Friday, April 4th. The group will meet online at 1 pm ET every Friday. Each member of the group will receive the GPS assessment at the beginning and the end of the 10 weeks to measure their spiritual growth.

Participants will be expected to read through a short chapter of Paul's book each week and be prepared to share their journey towards Spiritual Intelligence. Through his research, Paul discovered three shifts that enable people to become spiritually intelligent: Being Nurtured by God, Becoming Free to Be Yourself, and Becoming a Conduit of God's Love. Through the 10 weeks, participants will grow in each of these areas.

Learning Lab

Every 4th Thursday of the Month

Learning Lab

During each of these monthly live 60-minute Zoom calls, we unpack one ICF core competency in plain language with real-world examples. Members also get to ask lots of questions, share challenges, and celebrate successes.

To top it off, each Learning Lab*** can be counted for 1 hour of Continuing Coach Education (CCEs).

***These can be used for ICF credential renewal!

The ICF Renewal Solution

If you are an ICF-credentialed coach, you must renew your credential every three years. Many people wait until the last minute to realize they need 40 hours of Continuing Coach Education (CCE), and their hearts sink. How can you squeeze this much education into such a tight timeline? Maybe not.

Let's do some math. (I know, math is hard!) Attending our Learning Lab every month for three years will earn 36 core competency CCEs! The ICF requires that 3 hours of the 40 must be dedicated to coaching ethics, and they offer a FREE class to cover that. 36+3=39 hours. Three years later, you are one hour short, which is really easy to cover.

Mentorship

Every 2nd Thursday of the Month

Monthly Webinars

Every month, gain new insights from an experienced coach who brings fresh topics to explore. Each session is exclusive, providing valuable knowledge and practical strategies to learn and grow as a coach.

These webinars are carefully designed to best equip you into becoming a better coach with a more dynamic practice.

Big Name Mentors

Gain access to some of the biggest names in coaching, including Marcia Reynolds, Val Hastings, Lyssa deHart, and William Vanderblomen.

Even when you haven't heard of monthly mentor, we assure you that they are an expert in their field, having a wide impact on their world.

What makes the CAM Community of Coaches so great?

"I wish I could always be in a coaching class because I want to stay focused, connected, and moving forward."

This is one of the most common things I hear from coaching students. They long for an ongoing source of training, encouragement, feedback and focus so they can make real progress as a coach.

The CAM Community of Coaches provides just this sort of opportunity.

Our team of premiere coach trainers provides you with a year's worth of fresh content, skill-enhancing learning labs, and a coaching exchange -- all designed to grow your coaching practice and your coaching confidence.

As a member, not only do you have access to our team, but you also get connected to other Christian coaches from around the world -- like-minded people with whom you can network, share resources, and find mutual support.

We launched this community in hopes of helping Christian coaches like you feel connected, confident, and capable. After all, the world needs great Christian coaches.

I hope to welcome you into the community very soon.

Sincerely,

Chad Hall, MCC President, Coach Approach Ministries
